STC works with elementary and middle schools to help infuse hands-on, challenge-based and project-based learning. Our most mature programs are Maker Programs that enable teachers to facilitate makerspaces that foster 21st century competencies and STEAM skills through projects, making, challenges, and inquiry. Run in partnership with MakerState, the Fellows program was recently awarded a National Science Foundation grant to study the integration of this approach into elementary science classrooms.
