Let’s help a friendly ghost from the past who’s made a positive change in the world, like Sally Ride. Sally Ride was the first American woman to go to space, breaking barriers and encouraging girls to do the same. We’ll create a room full of artifacts that give us clues (or inferences) to how our historical figure helped change the world. Players will hunt for the object that belongs to this historical figure in order to bring their story to the world. And then we’ll add our own historical figure and artifacts to our games. To build the game, we’ll make an inference about our chosen figure, identify a specific moment in time when they accomplished something great, and then code an if/then conditional statement to make it all a playable game. Let the history hunt begin!
What You’ll Need:
Try This at Home!
- Instead of finding one artifact that belongs to the friendly ghost.
- Try adding another artifact so that players will need to find two artifacts instead of one.
- Try using Google Image search to find and import a new image artifact sprite in your game.
