Mandalas are symbols that represent never ending life and connectedness. Mandalas are used for meditation, allowing us to focus on the mandala art instead of thoughts racing through our heads. Often, we can think of an intention while meditating with the mandala. If our mind starts to think about daily stresses, the mandala can help bring our focus back to our intention. Like so many other types of art making and viewing, mandalas can help our minds to become more clear, rested and focused. We’ll create our own colorful yarn or drawn mandalas to help us or someone we care about meditate, find peace, or just focus on intention. As we focus on creating our beautiful art, we might notice that we’re getting “into the zone”, really loving what we’re doing and creating. That’s called Flow!
